Google is experimenting with speeding up web pagesBack
One of the many factors that are important for ranking in Google is the speed at which the web page loads. Google is now testing a new feature that significantly increases this speed.
This is not only positive for your SEO ranking, but also for your users, who have to wait less longer for a page to respond to a button click.
The new feature is called Interaction to Next Paint (INP) and it should be fully rolled out by March 2024.

Official web metric
The new feature is already available in Chrome 115, which launched on July 13, but is still undergoing extensive testing. In March 2024, this new metric will become an official web metric, so it might be helpful to keep an eye on this new feature and use it as soon as possible once it's out of the experimental phase.
It is, however, necessary to build in an alternative for browsers that have not yet implemented the new function.
